For 15 years NMC Property have been running the business from a Visual Basic / Access database system. The Visual Basic / Access System currently manages all aspects of the business. It has been written in house over the last 15 years.

 

The Visual Basic / Access System contains:

 

150 Database Tables
1000 Database Queries
150 Forms
350 Reports

 

It manages:

 

properties
tenants
landlords
suppliers
contractors
staff
fi nancial statements
marketing
viewing
legals
etc. ...

 

Due to the diverse property interests of NMC, the current Visual Basic system sprawls in many different directions. As a result of the limited availability of access points to the offl ine system, it now needs to be re-written as a web system.

 

As a result of our work to date, our client list and the systems we have built for these clients, we have demonstrated our ability and been awarded the contract to re-write this system as a web system. This will enable online access to tenants, landlords, contractors, suppliers, staff and client agents.

 

This is a vast task and appropriate modernisation needs to be applied to the offline system first, so that it can communicate with the online software.

 

Due to the size and complexity of this build, it will be a stage by stage build and stage one is now nearing completion. It has been decided that the web system and the offline system will run in parallel until such time as the web system is ready to fully take over from the offline system. At this point the offline system will become obsolete.

 

We have facilitated the synchronisation of aspects of the offline data with the web servers. We are in the middle of the build for the minimal web system and this is due to be launched soon.

 

We will then implement the hosting infrastructure, failovers and backup system.
